Giving and Getting Involved
Youth Group Challenge
Attention Omaha Area Youth Groups:
Help people in your community, and your whole youth group could win a pizza party and tickets to see Casting Crowns, Tenth Avenue North and CALEB...for free!
From now to April 3, area youth groups will collect non-perishable food items and/or articles of new or gently used clothing or toys from their friends, family, and neighbors for Open Door Mission. On April 3, the youth groups will arrive at Open Door Mission with their collections for a count-in where the winning group will be announced.
The youth group that collects the most items per capita* will win a pre-concert party for up to 30 that includes pizza, beverages, autographed Casting Crowns CD, and early access for the best General Admission seats available to the concert on April 8th.
*Per Capita = Total Items Collected / participating youth group members. This gives a youth group of 5 an equal chance with a youth group of 20.
To participate, contact Billy Rodgers - 360.953.4209 or LMG Concerts: 360.696.4558
LMG Concerts helps Christian musicians promote shows nationwide; they believe in giving back to a community, not just passing through it.

Mandy Mouse Lives At Lydia House - A Great Gift
Mandy Mouse Lives at Lydia House is a 30-page book written by Tara Rye and full of colorful, captivating illustrations by Molinda Sunde Parker.
Mandy is a sweet little mouse that lives with her single mother. Through financial hardship, they find themselves living in their car in the cold of winter. One day servant-leaders from a shelter close by are handing out blankets to the homeless in the park. Through Mandy's persistence, her mother goes to get a blanket only to discover the shelter has a place for them to stay and a hot meal.
Through this family's heart-warming and powerful story, children are exposed to the reality of homelessness from the perspective of a character their own age. After all, The average age of a homeless person in the United States is 9 years old. Children also learn of the hope that a shelter like the Lydia House provides. Although the story is fictional, both parents and children are encouraged to seek out a real-live homeless shelter in their communities where they can donate toys, food, and clothing.
For only $14.95 you can give a gift that will feed and shelter someone in need!
100% of all royalties for Mandy Mouse will go to Open Door Mission.
