Men’s Ministries:

  • Men’s Ministries Emergency Services Case Manager / Chaplain

    • 40 hours per week
    • This person will provide case management services for homeless clients, assisting each with a personal plan relating to: financial responsibilities, benefits eligibility, educational and vocational pursuits, programs for emotional and addiction disorders, medical needs and more.

  • Men’s Ministries Driver

    • Provide transportation for people to various locations.
    • Provide overnight supervision for mission guests.
    • Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license.
    • Experience/Background/Knowledge: Know how to drive a 12-passenger van, sympathetic towards the homeless and relate well with the mentally ill.
    • Skills: Knowledge of the greater Omaha area. Maintain order in the van. Have confidence in driving in all conditions.
    • Ability to respond to emergencies using de-escalation strategies
Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission founded in 1954. Each day, Open Door Mission ministries provides 320 men, women, and children with safe shelter beds, serves nearly 1,500 hot nutritious meals, and provides preventive measures to more than 250 families living in poverty. to meet the basic physical needs of the hungry and homeless, the Open Door Mission’s day facility services provide free transportation from the downtown area to Open Door Mission and Lydia House. Open Door Mission offers life-changing programs for those recovering from life-altering addictions and abuse to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
