Hand In Hand VolunteersHand-In-Hand. That’s how you and I can give help and hope to the hungry and homeless at Open Door Mission.

Every day, Open Door Mission provides safe shelter, hot meals, clean clothes, and other basic needs for more than 320 men, women, and children.

Loaves and FishesTwo ways for teams to participate depending on size. Here's how:

1. Cafeteria Team – Teams of 7-12 people that help with meal prep, on the serving line and some clean-up.

2. Banquet Teams – Teams of 25-30 who help with meal prep, on the serving line and some clean-up, and also serve our clients as they sit down. This is a wonderful way to show love and dignity to those who are the least among us.

Teams are encouraged to commit to one meal a month, (breakfast, lunch or dinner) on a certain day—for example the first Tuesday or fourth Saturday. You can even commit to serving all meals one day a month!

Please contact Cris Morris by phone at 402-422-1111 ext. 1504 or Email to discuss how your team can start ministering at Open Door Mission.

Loaves and FishesYou Can Sort Organize and Shelve donations and clothing, etc. to empower individuals and families to remain in their home.

For more information about these and other volunteer ideas, please contact Open Door Mission’s Volunteer Department at 422-1111, ext 1202 or Email, they will be happy to assist you.
