New Format Starting in May 2026

Thank you for being a top supporter of the Open Door Mission! Beginning Tuesday May 5, 2026, every monthly gathering for Friends of the Mission will be located in our new Hospitality Center from 1:30pm-3:30pm. Please enter the building using the Volunteer Entrance on the South side. We will greet you and direct you to the right place.

First Tuesday of Every Month

We consider you to be a Friend of the Mission. A friend is defined as a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection. That’s why we are inviting you to the monthly Friends of the Mission meeting.

You’ll get a sneak peek behind the scenes of the day-to-day operations serving those experiencing homelessness. In 60 minutes, we believe you will be inspired, encouraged, and empowered to be an advocate for others.

Bring a friend and enjoy a Mission Moment presentation with a Story of Hope. If your time permits, stay to volunteer after the meeting to help make sandwiches. Or, sign up to serve lunch 11:00am-1:00pm prior to the Friends of the Mission presentation. Click Here to sign up for serving lunch
